LISA Junior - FEMALE, Black or Black with Mixed Heritage, playing age 16
(resembles actor Janet Etuk – see photo above)

Lisa is a chameleon. She adapts to whatever situation is thrown her way and usually blends into environments with ease. Lisa adopts language, mannerisms, and fashion sense through osmosis and has an incredibly strong air of confidence about her which crumbles when she is alone. At this party her Older Self (played by Janet Etuk) has appeared to offer some guidance. Lisa is passionate and fiery. Lisa is dismissive and riddled with anxiety.

Must be comfortable with portraying Wine and Grind dance culture.

JADA Junior – FEMALE, Black or Black with Mixed Heritage, playing age 16

Jada is life. She is fearless, extremely feminine, wild, sensual, and confident within herself. Her wild trademark grin is infectious. Jada is the life of the party and embraces that title. She’s been best friends with Lisa since forever and is the only one that knows how insecure Lisa can be, especially when it comes to dancing. Jada is wild. A powerhouse. Jada is soft, she’s loving.

Looking for an actor who is fearless when it comes to dancing at house parties. Whether on her own or with a partner. Must be comfortable with portraying Wine and Grind dance culture.

BLAZER - MALE, Black or Black with Mixed Heritage, playing age 16

Blazer is a perfectionist and shies away from anything that might be considered too risky. He loves house parties, it’s usually when he shines the most. Dancing, music, and socialising is his passion…but he’s always found it hard to get Lisa’s attention. Blazer is smooth and nonchalant. When not in the public eye, Blazer is goofy and endearing.

Must be comfortable with portraying Wine and Grind dance culture.

JADA Senior, FEMALE, Black or Black with Mixed Heritage, playing age 30-35

Jada Senior is warm and kind-hearted. She’s not as wild as Jada Junior but she still has ghosts of her energy and still has her infectious, trademark grin. She can express a world of emotions through subtle looks and still loves Lisa just as much as when they were teens.

Jada is wise and intuitive. Jada is loyal and loving. Looking for an actor who can express a multitude of thoughts and emotions through subtle glances.

Must be comfortable with portraying Wine and Grind dance culture.

VIPER, MALE, Black or Black with Mixed Heritage, playing age 16

Overtly confident. Smooth talker and always finds a way to get into house parties, whether he’s been invited or not. Entrepreneurial and artistic, great at thinking outside the box and doesn’t shy away from a challenge. He’s a fluid dancer and has an air of grace about him. Viper has always been able to turn a sticky situation into a positive.

Must be comfortable with portraying Wine and Grind dance culture.

CREEPER, MALE, Black or Black with Mixed Heritage, playing age 16

Always the one in the corner eating up everything at parties. Going into your fridge and taking snacks home with him. Asking you for £1 and he’ll pay you back, but never will. A joker in his class but surprisingly shy when it comes to girls. Only dances to save face and appear confident at house parties.

Must be comfortable with portraying Wine and Grind dance culture.

HUGGIES, MALE, Black or Black with Mixed Heritage, playing age 16

New to house parties. He’s one of the ones that stands around the periphery of the dance floor (much like CREEPER) he observes, absorbs, and practises in his head before launching into things. Very careful, an overthinker but also intuitive. He holds a permanent screw face…but he’s just concentrating!

Must be comfortable with portraying Wine and Grind dance culture.
